PAI DISTRICT - PART 8 - HALF DAY TOUR

SANTICHON or YUNNAN CHINESE VILLAGE

Santichon, as the local is called, is a real Chinese settlement that turned into a tourist park. It houses roughly 2,000 residents from the Yunnan province, immigrants from the mainland during Mao's Communist reign in China.

Located in the outskirt of Pai, this place is one of the three Chinese villages situated in northern Thailand.

The villagers include hill tribe people, immigrants from Yunnan and formal nationalist Chinese soldier.

Besides souvenir stores selling Chinese items, Santichon has a lot more to offer to visitors such as tea testing sessions, horse riding, wellness and shooting games. It is also a centre to showcase Chinese culture.

For those you loves ancient architecture, this place is really worth the stop. Enjoy the view while going a long with it. Have fun !

MO PAENG WATERFALLS

Mo Paeng Waterfall, is positioned just 9 kilometres from Pai and can be easily reached by car or motorbike, or just by walking. The journey takes around two hours on foot. There are three cool and clear pools to swim in and relax.
