If you coming from the heart city of Malaysia, which is Kuala Lumpur, you may have to drive your way roughly 6 hours via the North South Express Highway. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Kuala Lumpur and stop at Mersing.
The most common way to get to this sunny isle is by speed-ferry. The ferry that operates on the Mersing-Tioman-Mersing route is fast, efficient, comfortable, and fully air-conditioned. It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Tioman Island.
Tiket price is RM35 one way, RM70 for return.
The schedule from Mersing to Pulau Tioman is 08:30am, 11:00am, and 02:30pm
There a few villages in Tioman Island that you can stay. For this trip, I choose to stay in Kampung Salang.
